Cincinnati Bengals running back, Joe Mixon, has reportedly agreed to a pay cut in order to remain with the team for the upcoming season. Mixon’s agent, Peter Schaeffer, informed ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the team has agreed to a restructured deal to retain him.

Initially, Mixon had a non-guaranteed base salary of $9.4 million for the upcoming season, with a cap hit of approximately $12.8 million. However, in April, there were rumors that Mixon might be cut from the team if he did not agree to a pay cut.

Mixon, who has spent his entire six-year NFL career in Cincinnati, earned a Pro-Bowl selection in 2021. He has accumulated 5,378 rushing yards on 1,314 carries and scored 40 touchdowns on the ground.
