The Issue: President Biden’s Negligence on Addressing the Migrant Crisis in New York
As New York City continues to deteriorate due to the escalating migrant crisis, President Biden has shamefully ignored Mayor Adams and the concerns of New York residents while attending the United Nations summit in the city (“Lost your way, Joe? Sept. 20).
The crisis that Biden has created barely registers in his mind.
Now, the president can proudly add to his list of “accomplishments” the transformation of New York City from a thriving global metropolis to a decaying Big Apple at its core.

He didn’t visit East Palestine, Ohio after the train wreck, Maui after the wildfires, or even the major 9/11 anniversary ceremonies.

Questions for Adams: Will You Finally Wake Up, Mr. Mayor?
Will you admit that the “madman” wreaking havoc in our city is not a Republican in Texas, but your fellow Democrat in the White House – Biden, who disrespected you in Washington and now snubs you on your home turf?
Will you passively accept this, or will you show some courage by sending busloads of “migrants” to Wilmington, Del., and DC?
Will you publicly call out Biden and demand the closure of the border, or will you continue to beg for more funding?
I could ask the same of New York’s other elected representatives, but what would be the point?
Sen. Chuck Schumer is only good for photo ops, Gov. Hochul is a joke, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is useless, and the City Council’s clown brigade is busy attacking Christopher Columbus.

As we can all witness every day in this once-magnificent city, migrants fill the streets of Manhattan and the outer boroughs — and Democratic Mayor Adams doesn’t even get a glance from Biden?
How would an average, hardworking New Yorker fare?
What confidence can we have while living in the shadows of Biden’s failing policies?

Bumbling Joe dismisses Mayor Adams and New York City concerning the migrant crisis.
Even as a New Yorker, it’s hard to empathize with Adams’ concerns about the billions of dollars of debt incurred by New York City due to the migrant crisis.
After all, as a sanctuary city, Adams welcomed them.
This is typical of Democratic leadership.
They want to be “humanitarian” but fail to consider the consequences of unchecked immigration.
They disregard American citizens and those who entered the country legally.
Honestly, what did they expect by allowing everyone to cross the border?

As The Post mentions in the article, it’s unclear whether Mayor Adams requested a meeting with Biden.
It’s certainly hoped that he did!
Until these irresolute Democrats call out Biden and demand the closure of the border, the problem will persist.
People may have loyalty to their political party, but what about loyalty to the country?

President Biden’s recent visit to New York City is reminiscent of President Gerald Ford’s dismissive attitude towards the city when it needed federal assistance.
The headline at that time read, “Ford to city: Drop dead.”
By failing to meet with Adams or Hochul and disregarding the hundreds of migrants just blocks away, Biden has undoubtedly shown disregard for all New Yorkers.
It’s time to bring back the Ford headline – with Biden’s name on it.
