Jennifer Allen, a cherished advocate for surrogacy, deeply mourned by families, colleagues, and friends

Jennifer Allen, an influential figure in Canadian surrogacy, passed away at the age of 36. Having been a surrogate herself four times, Allen founded JA Surrogacy Canada with the vision of creating a more supportive and nurturing environment for intended parents and surrogates alike. She believed that everyone should have the opportunity to have a child, but realized that she couldn’t personally help everyone. However, her goal was to assist those who sought her help in building their families with transparency, integrity, and compassion. Allen’s unexpected death occurred in Calgary, though the cause has not been disclosed by her family. She is survived by her husband, children, and a close-knit community of loved ones. Allen created JA Canada to be a “village” where intended parents could build long-lasting relationships with their surrogates and form lifelong friendships. Since its inception in 2018, the agency has successfully facilitated the birth of approximately 135 babies. Allen’s dedication to helping others has left a lasting impact on the fertility community, leaving a legacy of compassion and support for those struggling to start a family.
