Jeff Bezos Reportedly Acquires $79 Million Mansion in Florida’s Exclusive “Billionaire Bunker” Island — Two Months After Purchasing the Home Next Door for $68 Million
According to Bloomberg, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon and the world’s third-richest person with a net worth of $156 billion, has recently purchased a seven-bedroom, 14-bathroom mansion in Florida’s highly exclusive Indian Creek Island. The property, which was listed on Zillow, was bought for $79 million, a 7.1% discount from its original listing price of $85 million. The 19,064-square-foot home is situated on 1.84 acres and features luxurious amenities such as a pool, theater, library, wine cellar, maids’ quarters, a sauna, and six garage spaces.
This magnificent property is located on Indian Creek Island, a unique and secure enclave with a limited number of waterfront properties and a population of only 81. The island features an 18-hole golf course and exclusive Brazilian teak docks for luxury vessels. Notable residents of the island include Tom Brady, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kuschner, and former owner of the Philadelphia Eagles, Norman Braman.
This recent acquisition adds to Bezos’ impressive real estate portfolio, which includes a sprawling estate in the affluent Medina neighborhood in Washington, a $165 million mansion in Beverly Hills, a ranch in West Texas near his Blue Origin space company, and a $96 million apartment on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Additionally, Bezos recently purchased a three-bedroom home next to his latest Florida purchase, bringing his total investment on Indian Creek Island to a staggering $147 million.
Representatives for Amazon and Bezos have not provided any comments regarding these purchases.
As a Miami native, Bezos’ latest acquisitions in the Miami area can be seen as a homecoming for the billionaire, who graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High School in 1982.
