Italian Prime Minister Discusses Ukraine Fatigue in Hilarious Prank Call with Russian Comedians

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni recently engaged in an intriguing conversation during a prank call with two renowned Russian comedians, who cleverly disguised themselves as African leaders. This amusing incident occurred on September 18 and had Meloni discussing “a lot of tiredness” regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine. Interestingly, she hinted at having potential solutions to “find a way out.”

Confirming the incident, Meloni’s office acknowledged that she was deceived by an imposter posing as the president of the African Union Commission.

According to reports, Meloni expressed, “There is a lot of tiredness on all sides. The moment is approaching when everyone will understand that we need a way out…Ukraine’s counteroffensive is not going as expected. It has not altered the fate of the conflict, and there is a growing understanding that if we don’t find a solution, the conflict could be prolonged for many years. The Ukrainians are diligently performing their duties, and we are providing them with our assistance.”

During the call, Meloni intriguingly divulged, “I have some ideas on how to manage this situation, but I’m awaiting the opportune moment to put them on the table.”

The proficient Russian comedians behind this prank call are identified as Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexei Stolyarov, collectively known as Vovan and Lexus. Interestingly, one of the comedians impersonated an “African politician.”

Vovan and Lexus are well-known for their pro-Russia stance and have even faced allegations of having connections with Russian intelligence agencies. Nevertheless, there is no concrete evidence to support such claims.
