Americans were asked if they would trust an AI dating website called Keeper to set them up on blind dates.
NEW YORK CITY – New Yorkers were surveyed about their willingness to let an artificial intelligence-based program arrange dates for them.
“If I ever got desperate, I might consider it, but I hope it never comes to that,” shared Nick, a resident of New York, with Fox News.
Keeper, a dating website, employs an AI system to match singles based on responses to a personality survey and preferences for a partner.

“I have my doubts about trusting AI,” expressed Sergio from New Jersey. “I don’t think it truly understands people.”
“People are not machines,” he added. “You can provide information on an application, but there’s only so much you can convey.”
However, some individuals were enthusiastic about trying an AI dating website.
“AI already does so much. Why not matchmaking?” questioned Calvin, another New Yorker.

Keeper offers two membership options – a paid version with unlimited matches and a free version that may take longer to find a match. The website emphasizes that user information is only shared with a matched individual.
“I wouldn’t really trust someone who’s not human,” remarked Amira from New York. “It’s kind of scary.”

Ethan, a resident of New Jersey, believed that AI could not replace crucial elements in meeting potential partners.
“There’s a greater connection in meeting face to face and having a conversation, rather than relying solely on artificial technology to set you up,” Ethan expressed to Fox News.

Nick believed that an AI matchmaker could be beneficial for people with busy schedules.
“I can see people being interested in it,” Nick shared. “If you don’t have much time, it would be one less thing to worry about.”
