  • Secret audio recordings reveal Robinson discussing De Niro’s current and former partners with a co-worker.
  • The trial is ongoing, with Robinson’s testimony set to continue on Tuesday.

Robert De Niro’s former executive assistant, Graham Chase Robinson, is testifying in her $12 million gender discrimination and retaliation lawsuit against the acclaimed actor and his company, Canal Productions. The trial is taking place in Manhattan federal court, where Robinson is detailing her conflicts with De Niro’s ex-wife, Grace Hightower, his current girlfriend, Tiffany Chen, and his business partner, Jane Rosenthal.

During her time working for De Niro from 2008 to 2019, Robinson alleges that she endured verbal abuse, was given menial tasks, and was paid less than male colleagues due to her single career status. De Niro has denied these allegations. In response, De Niro has countersued Robinson, accusing her of stealing frequent flyer miles, unauthorized expenses on his company’s card, and neglecting her duties. Robinson has denied these claims.

The jury will hear both cases concurrently and have been exposed to revealing audio recordings made by Robinson. In one recording, she and a co-worker discuss De Niro’s past and current relationships. The conversations shed light on the strained dynamics between De Niro and his ex-wife and current girlfriend.

Robinson’s grievances extend to Chen, whom she believes was jealous of her relationship with De Niro and wanted her out of their lives. In another recording, Robinson accuses Chen of fabricating health issues and refers to her as a “sociopath.”

Robinson also expresses dissatisfaction with Rosenthal, as she believed her career aspirations in film development were hindered by the business partner. Testimony reveals De Niro’s alleged derogatory remarks about Rosenthal.

The trial also involves De Niro’s claims against Robinson for theft and breach of fiduciary duty. His lawyers aim to demonstrate that Robinson misused company benefits for personal gain, including pitching her own film project while on company-sponsored trips.

Robinson’s testimony is set to continue on Tuesday.
