Illness Forces Bruce Springsteen to Postpone Philly Concerts – NBC10 Philadelphia

“The Boss” had plans to return to the ballpark in Philly this week.

However, those plans have changed and his concerts on Aug. 16 and Aug. 18 will not be happening as scheduled.

Bruce Springsteen shared this news in a tweet on X, previously known as Twitter.

“Due to Bruce Springsteen falling ill, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed,” the New Jersey native announced.

What should I do if I have tickets to a Bruce Springsteen Philly concert?

Earlier this year, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band revealed that they would be performing at Citizens Bank Park in August as part of their 2023 concert tour.

For those who have tickets, it is advised to hold onto them for now as the new dates for the Philly shows have not yet been determined.

“We are currently working on rescheduling the dates, so please keep your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled shows,” stated Springsteen’s Facebook post.

The Boss has already visited Philly in 2023

Whenever these shows take place, they will be the second and third times that the New Jersey icon (who is even having his own statewide day) brings his band to Philly this year. After dealing with illness that resulted in the postponement of concerts in other cities, Springsteen was able to perform a March concert at the nearby Wells Fargo Center.

Unfortunately, this time his illness has impacted his tour in Philly.
