If you were to ask me to describe Burning Man, I’d call the entire event magical. I spent five extraordinary days there.
This year, Burning Man attracted around 72,000 participants, who were divided into various camps. While some camps had 30 to 40 people, mine consisted of 120 individuals. I made friends from different corners of the globe.
Attending Burning Man for the first time has left a lasting impression on me, and I’m already looking forward to going again.
My Expenses at Burning Man
I allocated approximately $7,000 for my entire Burning Man experience, covering expenses such as car rental, flights, and camp accommodation. Costs varied for other participants, with some paying between $4,000 and $10,000 for their expenditures.
Although some people may complain about the cost, I have come to realize that it is necessary for running such an elaborate event. Providing water, electricity, RVs, and tents requires significant funds.
Prior to attending, I was hesitant about the expenses. However, once I experienced the incredible services and facilities provided at the camp, I began to understand the value. In my opinion, the price is fair for the overall experience you receive at Burning Man.
The event offers a plethora of activities, including art installations, talented chefs, DJs, biking, and, of course, the iconic burning of the man.
While you attend with the expectation of having fun, you also acknowledge that it won’t be without challenges. No one anticipated the unexpected rain that persisted for seven to eight hours. It was quite a surprise.
A Rainy Day at Burning Man
The rain presented us with some challenges, but we managed to adapt. For instance, the event organizers relocated the DJ to a drier spot, and we carried on with the festivities. Everyone remained in high spirits.

As we were unsure how long the rain would last, we made sure to check on one another and ensure that everyone had enough food. We shared our meals with those who were in need.
During Burning Man, you enter a community where everyone helps each other. This sense of camaraderie and support was evident even in the face of rain.
Due to the weather, the iconic burning of the man was postponed and took place on a Tuesday instead of Saturday. Despite the mud and the challenges it posed for movement, many people stayed to witness this magnificent event.
Overall, Burning Man was an immensely fulfilling and memorable experience. I embraced both the ups and downs of the festival. Rain or shine, I will definitely be returning next year. I also intend to remain in touch with the friends I made at the camp, as they have become an important part of my life.
