Republican Presidential candidate Nikki Haley expressed her views on the ongoing battle in Gaza and Israel in a recent social media post. She emphasized that while the battle will be challenging and lengthy, it is a necessary endeavor.
In a post on X, Haley stated, “At the UN, I saw how Israel faced criticism, and this time it will be even worse. The battle in Gaza will undoubtedly be difficult and protracted, but I believe it is an essential one.”
Haley, a former governor of South Carolina and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, emphasized the importance of unwavering support from the United States for Israel.
Throughout the United States, statements from lawmakers and officials have overwhelmingly expressed support for Israel in its fight against Hamas. The surprise attack by Hamas has resulted in numerous casualties and both pro-Palestine and pro-Israel protests have emerged worldwide.
Haley further remarked, “When Israel comes under attack, much of the civilized world stands with her. It is crucial that we continue to stand with Israel when she defends herself.”
President Biden has also pledged his support for Israel, as the country receives significant aid from the United States with an annual contribution of approximately $3 billion. However, an emergency aid package may face delays in Congress, as the House has yet to elect a new Speaker.
