Ford executive Franck Louis-Victor accused of assaulting wife with headbutt

A high-ranking Ford executive has been arrested on charges of domestic violence and arson after assaulting his wife and making threats against her belongings, Michigan police have confirmed. The accused, Franck Louis-Victor, 50, was appointed by Ford CEO Jim Farley last year to lead the Ford Next autonomous vehicle division. Authorities state that Louis-Victor allegedly used physical force against his wife, including slapping, headbutting, and striking her in the face with a Google Nest Hub device. The incident occurred at their residence in Dearborn, prompting a call to law enforcement who responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. According to the police report, Louis-Victor admitted to threatening to set fire to his wife’s two expensive Hermes bags using a butane torch during the argument. He also made additional threats of harm. The altercation escalated to the point where his wife sustained a cut below her left eye. Louis-Victor, residing in Bloomfield Township, has been charged with felonious assault and arson-preparation to burn. His wife received medical treatment for her injuries. The accused executive, whose bail is set at $25,000, remains in custody pending his next court appearance scheduled for July 18. If convicted, Louis-Victor could face up to four years in prison for the assault charge and up to five years for arson. As of now, he has not been made available for comment. The incident has gained attention, with images surfacing of the alleged assault weapon, the Google Nest Hub device, as well as the threatened Hermes bags. The media has reached out to Ford for comment, to which the company responded that they are aware of the situation but consider it a personal matter and will refrain from making any statements.
