Fans Celebrate as Danny Masterson’s Sentence Proves Topher Grace Rumors to be True

  • Danny Masterson found guilty of rape, sentenced to 30 years to life in prison
  • “That 70s Show” fans claim Masterson’s conviction vindicates his former co-star Topher Grace
  • Rumors surrounded Grace’s departure from the show

Following Danny Masterson’s guilty verdict and sentencing for rape, fans of “That 70s Show” believe it vindicates his former co-star Topher Grace from rumors of being “stuck up” towards his castmates.

For years, rumors circulated about Grace’s apparent distance from the rest of the cast, including Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Laura Prepon, and Wilmer Valderrama, in addition to Masterson.

Grace left the show early, a year before its finale, but returned for a brief cameo appearance.

Speculation surrounding Grace’s time on the show resurfaced following Masterson’s sentencing to 30 years to life.

Three former Scientologists accused Masterson of rape between 2001 and 2003, alleging that he used his position in the Church of Scientology to silence them.

Grace is currently trending on X (formerly known as Twitter), as fans argue that Masterson’s conviction disproves claims of Grace’s alleged superiority on the set.

“Topher Grace said I can’t stand none of you weirdos and left that 70s show behind him and he was so real for that,” one fan expressed.

Another tweet stated, “‘Didn’t get along with their costars’ is another phrase like ‘difficult to work with’ reserved for people who don’t cosign Hollywood toxicity. Topher Grace is sleeping good tonight.”

Yet another comment read, “Finding out Topher Grace was always given shit for not wanting to hang out with the rest of the cast outside of filming is kind of assuring to me that he might actually be a relatively decent person lol.”

Grace has not publicly commented on Masterson’s sentencing, and his representatives have not responded to requests for comment.

However, in an Instagram story, his wife Ashley Hinshaw referenced the news of Masterson’s sentence and expressed support for rape victims.

“I see you,” she wrote to rape victims who are retraumatized by societal debates focusing on the rapist’s fate.

In contrast to Grace’s silence, his “That ’70s Show” co-stars Kunis and Kutcher wrote letters of support for Masterson during his trial.

Kutcher, in his letter, praised Masterson’s character and emphasized their shared experiences as fathers.

Kunis also commended Masterson’s role as a husband and father.

Other notable figures who expressed support for Masterson include fellow Scientologist Giovanni Ribisi and actors Billy Baldwin, Debra Jo Rupp, and Kurtwood Smith.
