Exclusive: Nxled Acquires May Luna, Bolstering Team Roster

MANILA, Philippines — The Nxled Chameleons have officially signed May Luna as part of their roster for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference in October.

Luna, formerly of the defunct Foton squad, is the latest addition to the Nxled team.

After a two-year stint with the Chery Tiggo franchise, Luna joined the Nxled Chameleons in 2021, following one PVL conference with Cignal in the bubble tournament.

She played for the Crossovers in the entire 2022 season before being transferred to Foton in the Invitational Conference.

However, Foton decided to withdraw from the league after only one tournament.

The 25-year-old wing spiker will be joining fellow new recruits Jannine Navarro and setters Kamille Cal and Maji Mangulabnan as leaders of the Chameleons. The team will also feature former Akari players Chiara Permentilla, Lycha Ebon, Jho Maraguinot, Camille Victoria, Krich Macaslang, Dani Ravena, and Rachel Jorvina.

Nxled is yet to reveal their head coach, but they have introduced Vilet Ponce de Leon as the deputy coach.

Meanwhile, F2 Logistics has also acquired young middle blocker Ethan Arce from Gerflor, while PLDT signed setter Angelica Legacion from Chery Tiggo.

Chery Tiggo, on the other hand, released Roselle Baliton, who has signed with Akari. Akari will be announcing a new recruit on Thursday evening.
