Allegations Against Anand Mahindra
In the FIR, Rajesh Mishra claims that he purchased a black Mahindra Scorpio worth Rs 17.40 lakh, believing in the company’s claims of excellent features and safety. These claims were heavily advertised and promoted by Anand Mahindra himself through various media channels. Mishra had bought the vehicle as a gift for his son, Dr. Apoorv Mishra.
The fatal accident occurred on January 14, 2022, when Dr. Apoorv and his companions were returning from Lucknow to Kanpur. Despite wearing seat belts, the car collided with a divider due to thick fog, resulting in multiple rollovers and Apoorv Mishra’s tragic death at the accident scene.
