Elon Musk to Auction Exclusive Twitter Signs and Memorabilia

Elon Musk, the owner of X, is set to hold an auction next month where he will sell off various Twitter signs and other memorabilia. This includes the sign that was previously hung outside the company’s headquarters.

The auction, titled “Twitter Rebranding: Online Auction Featuring Memorabilia, Art, Office Assets & More!”, is scheduled to take place from September 12th to 14th, as mentioned on the auction website. A total of 584 items will be up for auction, including Twitter’s iconic blue bird logo signs, office furniture, and a variety of musical instruments.

One of the bird signs available for bidding is the logo that was hung on the building of Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters. The listing states that the sign is still mounted on the side of the building and the buyer will need to hire a San Francisco Licensed Company with appropriate permits to remove it.

There are also multiple LED signs with the bird logo, hashtags, and @ signs available for purchase. Additionally, a wooden bird table and a hashtag bookshelf will be part of the auction. Various office sofas, refrigerators, coffee machines, and wall art, including a painting of former President Obama with former first lady Michelle Obama, are also up for bidding.

This news comes after reports last month that the large X sign, displayed after Musk rebranded the social media platform, was taken down following complaints from city residents and officials. Musk announced the rebranding of the company, changing his profile avatar to an X logo and posting promotional content featuring X’s.

Musk officially purchased the platform in October last year, and since then it has undergone several controversial changes, such as limitations on direct messages and the number of posts users can see.
