In a recent development, Elon Musk has drawn attention to a post made by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, which celebrated the attacks carried out by Hamas on Israel. Musk argued that Khamenei’s statement clearly indicates that Iran’s ultimate goal is the eradication of Israel.
Musk went on to state, “The actual aim, as confirmed by Khamenei’s official position, is the eradication of Israel, rather than mere support for Palestinians. However, this will not come to pass. What we see instead is an unceasing cycle of violence and revenge. Fanning the flames of hatred has proven ineffective. Perhaps it is time to consider alternative approaches.”
Musk’s response was prompted by Khamenei’s post, which praised the indiscriminate killing of concertgoers in Israel and included a video showing terrified individuals fleeing as gunshots rang out in the background.
“By the will of God, the usurper Zionist regime will be eliminated by the Palestinian people and the Resistance forces across the region. #AlAqsaStorm,” Khamenei declared alongside the video footage.
ZAKA, a non-governmental volunteer recovery organization in Israel, has since confirmed that 260 deaths occurred at the attacked music festival. Reports of abductions during the concert have also been documented. The event was originally planned to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
In an interesting twist, the supreme leader’s post carried a warning stating, “This Post violated the X Rules. However, X has determined that it may be in the public’s interest for the Post to remain accessible.”
It is worth noting that when Musk assumed control of Twitter, he rescinded several rules regarding speech on the platform. This included unblocking accounts previously deemed antisemitic by the Anti-Defamation League.
