Eagles’ Official Verdict: No Cam Jurgens, Bradley Roby, Boston Scott, Grant Calcaterra in Defining Matchup against Cowboys – Catch It Live on NBC Sports Philadelphia

The Eagles have ruled out four players for their upcoming game against the Cowboys on Sunday.

Unfortunately, G Cam Jurgens (foot), CB Bradley Roby (shoulder), RB Boston Scott (personal matter), and Grant Calcaterra (concussion) will not be able to play. This decision was made on Friday afternoon.

Jurgens has been dealing with a foot injury that has kept him out of the previous four games. Although he returned as a limited participant in practice this week, he still needs more time to recover. It is expected that Jurgens will make his return after the bye week on November 20 against the Chiefs.

In Jurgens’ absence, the Eagles plan to start rookie third-round pick Tyler Steen at right guard. This will be Steen’s first career start. Although veteran Sua Opeta has been the starter for the last four games, Steen has been working with the first-team offense this week and even saw some action against the Commanders.

As for Roby, this will be his third missed game due to a shoulder injury. The Eagles were hoping he would recover before the four-week mark, but it seems he needs more time. Roby was observed working with trainers on a side field during Friday’s practice.

Scott will not be available for Sunday’s game due to a personal matter that kept him away from practice all week. This means that veteran Rashaad Penny will likely be active against the Cowboys.

Calcaterra is currently going through the concussion protocol and is not yet ready to return. However, it is a positive sign that he was a limited participant in Friday’s practice. With Albert Okweugbunam expected to be active, it will be his second appearance this season.

Turning our attention to the Cowboys, their starting left tackle Tyron Smith (neck) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Smith returned to practice in a limited fashion on Friday after missing last week’s game. His replacement, Chuma Edoga, is also questionable for the upcoming game due to an ankle/knee issue.
