Monday
The week began with the decision to exit the position in Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) due to the company’s legal challenges. After failed attempts to resolve its talc liabilities, it was clear that the stock’s upside potential would be limited. We sold our remaining 500 shares of JNJ and reinvested in Microsoft (MSFT) and GE Healthcare (GEHC). Our purchase of these stocks was influenced by their strong performance and potential for growth in the artificial intelligence and medical technology sectors.
Tuesday
We made one trade on this busy day, buying 25 shares of Honeywell International (HON) after a decline in its stock price. We also raised price targets for Caterpillar (CAT), Stanley Black & Decker (SWK), and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) based on their impressive quarterly results. Our decision to invest in Honeywell was driven by the opportunity to buy back some of the shares we had previously sold at higher levels. Additionally, we have confidence in the turnaround potential of Stanley Black & Decker and believe that AMD’s strong performance warrants a higher price target.
Wednesday
We reiterated our positive outlook on shares of Emerson Electric (EMR) and maintained our $110 price target. Emerson’s strong quarterly results and promising future compelled us to reaffirm our rating and target for the stock, which is currently trading below our projected value.
Thursday
We raised price targets for Amazon (AMZN) and Apple (AAPL) following their quarterly results. Amazon demonstrated stable revenue growth and exceeded expectations with its third-quarter guidance. Apple’s high-margin Services sales and ongoing success motivated us to increase our price target. Despite a slight decline in their stock prices, we believe both companies have significant upside potential.
Conclusion
Earnings season has been favorable for our portfolio, prompting us to update our price targets and make strategic trades. We will continue to evaluate upcoming reports and adjust our ratings and targets accordingly.
