Don’t Worry about Missing Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour! See it in Canadian Theatres – National

If you were one of the many disappointed Taylor Swift fans in Canada who didn’t receive a presale code for her highly anticipated Eras Tour shows in Toronto, there’s another opportunity to see her perform her career-spanning, 44-song setlist.

Swift took to social media on Thursday to announce that her Eras Tour will be coming to the big screen with a concert film shown in theaters across North America.

“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful and electric experience of my life so far, and I’m thrilled to share that it will be coming to the big screen soon,” wrote Swift.

According to a press release, over 150 Cineplex locations in Canada will screen the film on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This means that Swift fans across the country can enjoy the Eras Tour closer to home without the need for expensive tickets and travel arrangements.

The first screenings of the film will start on October 13, with a run time of two hours and 45 minutes.

Tickets for the concert film are priced at an affordable $19.89 for adults, in reference to her album 1989, and $13.13 for children under 13 and seniors over 65. They can be purchased now on the Cineplex.com website.

Swift is encouraging viewers to dress up in Eras Tour attire and friendship bracelets, and to sing and dance along during the show.

The announcement of the concert film on Swift’s Instagram page has already received over three million likes within hours of being posted.

Cineplex describes the movie as a “once-in-a-lifetime concert film experience” and expresses excitement about being part of this cultural phenomenon.

“We’ve already seen an incredible response since the news broke, and our teams and systems are prepared. We can’t wait to welcome Swifties to our theaters and provide them with this breathtaking cinematic experience,” said Michelle Saba, Cineplex’s vice-president of communications.

Swifties in the U.S. will also have the opportunity to see the film in AMC theaters. However, many fans have been experiencing difficulties securing tickets, with complaints about long wait times and queues on social media. AMC has released a statement addressing these issues.

“In anticipation of this announcement,” the company said, “AMC has upgraded its website and ticketing systems to handle more than five times the largest influx of ticket-buying traffic the company has ever experienced before.

However, AMC acknowledges that no ticketing system in history has been able to accommodate the overwhelming demand from Taylor Swift fans when tickets first go on sale. Guests who want to be the first to buy their tickets online may experience delays, longer-than-usual waiting times, and possible outages. AMC is committed to resolving any delays or outages as quickly as possible.”

The Eras Tour film was directed by Sam Wrench, an Emmy-award-winning director who has also documented live shows by Billie Eilish, BTS, and Lizzo.
