Kennedy further stated, “By the way, President Trump also censored me. Not for spreading misinformation, but for what they labeled as ‘malinformation.’ This refers to information that, although true, is inconvenient to the White House or contradicts official orthodoxies.”
In 2017, Kennedy claimed that Trump had chosen him to lead a commission on vaccine safety before the former president took office. Kennedy, who would later be known for his skepticism about COVID-19, had made multiple debunked assertions linking childhood vaccines to autism. Despite their differences in policy, Kennedy and Trump have recently maintained a friendly relationship.
Only time will tell if this mutual admiration continues.
Kennedy testified at a House hearing on Thursday, where he attempted to downplay his anti-vaccine views and complained about what he claimed was censorship on social media. Democrats also questioned him about his recent unfounded statement that “COVID-19 targets Caucasians and Black people” and that Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people are most immune.
