Rodent infestation prompts Family Dollar recall

This recall comes after a previous recall in which Family Dollar recalled bottles of Advil due to improper storage as well. Last year, the company also issued a recall for FDA-regulated products from a distribution center in West Memphis, Arkansas, which were affected by rodent infestation and the potential presence of salmonella.

Dollar Tree, the parent company of Family Dollar, announced that a new distribution center will open next year in West Memphis. This facility will have building-wide temperature control to prevent issues like these recalls in the future. Dollar Tree operates 16,476 stores across 48 states and five Canadian provinces.
