Moderna — Moderna shares surge over 3% in early trading following CDC’s updated recommendation of Covid vaccine boosters for all Americans aged 6 months and above. Pfizer registers a 0.2% gain.

Apple — Apple dips 0.4% before the bell, a day after launching its latest iPhone model and unveiling updates like the new Apple Watch and revamped AirPods.

Ford — UBS analyst Joseph Spak starts coverage on Ford with a buy rating and a $15 price target, implying a 21% upside. Spak highlights Ford’s resilient commercial segment and its potential to offset challenges faced by its blue and electric car models. Ford’s stock rises 1.5% in premarket trading.

Similarly, Spirit Airlines plunges 3.9% after lowering its summer profit forecast, citing increased expenses.
