Impressive Crash Test Results for the 2023 Toyota Vios
The tested Toyota Vios is a Malaysia-spec vehicle and is also sold in Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, and Cambodia. The G trim level, equipped with a powerful 1.5L engine, boasts a curb weight of 1035 kg and comes with 6 airbags. In some markets, the Vios is marketed as the Yaris, available in both hatchback and sedan variations.
Testing was conducted according to the ASEAN NCAP’s 2021-2025 protocol. Considering the prevalence of cyclists and motorcyclists in ASEAN countries, ASEAN NCAP awards 16 points for this category. The Toyota Vios earned a commendable score of 8.58 points in this area.
