Discover the 11 Michelin-Endorsed Restaurants in New York City that are a Must-Try!

These eateries are on their way to becoming food world stars.

On Wednesday, the Michelin Guide unveiled the names of 11 restaurants that its dining inspectors deemed worthy of inclusion in this year’s Michelin Guide New York.

While being included in the Guide doesn’t guarantee a Michelin Star, it is still a great honor in the food industry.

The New York guide, which covers the boroughs and beyond, is regularly updated and currently recommends 449 restaurants, along with a staggering array of delicious food.

“The choices for where to eat are literally endless,” Michelin acknowledged in its announcement. With the addition of these 11 new entrants, “that choice just got so much harder.”

(Other cities that have Michelin-worthy restaurants include Chicago, Washington, DC, California, San Francisco, Toronto, and, most recently, Colorado and Atlanta.)

The latest additions to the Guide include one establishment in Westchester, two in Brooklyn, and eight in Manhattan. However, there are no new entries in Staten Island, Queens, or The Bronx.

In Brooklyn, you’ll find Crown Heights’ pastry shop Agi’s Counter and Prospect Lefferts Gardens’ contemporary seafood restaurant Kingfisher (which, according to Eater, is currently closed “until further notice,” as stated on its website). In Manhattan, there’s the new location of vegetarian diner-style joint Superiority Burger in the East Village, as well as the hidden gem Little Myanmar.

The Westchester addition is Apropos Restaurant at The Abbey Inn in Peekskill, which offers traditional American cuisine in a restored 120-year-old abbey that now serves as an inn and restaurant.

The recipients of this year’s Michelin Stars will be announced during an invite-only ceremony on November 7 at Spring Studios in Tribeca.

The Bib Gourmand winners, which are the separate awards given by Michelin for more affordable dining options, will be announced separately on November 1, according to a spokesperson for Eater.
