RIVERSIDE — In a shocking turn of events, a renowned physician and owner of a prominent skin care clinic in Riverside has found himself behind bars. Dr. Sam Sannoufi, a 52-year-old resident of Newport Beach, was taken into custody on Tuesday on charges of sexually assaulting a patient.
The incident allegedly occurred during a consultation at Dr. Sannoufi’s business, Timeless Skincare Laser Clinic Primary Care, located at 6900 Brockton Ave. The victim, whose identity remains confidential, bravely reached out to the Riverside Police Department’s Sexual Assault-Child Abuse Unit to report the assault.
Riverside Police Officer Ryan Railsback revealed that the department’s Special Assault Crimes Against Adults (SACA) detectives conducted a thorough investigation, which led them to gather enough evidence to obtain an arrest warrant. Dr. Sannoufi was subsequently apprehended without any resistance at the Orange Street station.
