City Council Approves Addition of Fourth Constituent Services Office in CD 15

The Los Angeles City Council has unanimously approved a motion to enhance accessibility to local government for residents of the Fifteenth District by adding a fourth constituent services office.

Councilman Tim McOsker, representing Council District 15, introduced the motion to establish a constituent services office at 970 W. 190th in “The Enclave,” a new neighborhood shopping center. The council’s vote, with council members Paul Krekorian and John Lee absent, allows the General Services Department to enter lease negotiations for the new office and seek approval from the city attorney’s office.

McOsker’s motion addresses the need for a city-leased space for constituent services and a drop-in center for city departments in areas such as Watts, Harbor Gateway, Harbor City, Wilmington, and San Pedro, all within his district.

The Enclave, known for its upscale office spaces and curated restaurants, aligns with the goal of creating vibrant environments that foster creativity, collaboration, and community engagement, as stated in the motion. The property owner will submit a draft floor plan and specific lease terms for consideration.

McOsker plans to establish constituent services offices in all five communities he represents, with this move addressing the need in the Harbor Gateway community. His other offices are located in San Pedro (638 S. Beacon St.), Watts (1513 E. 103rd St.), and Wilmington (544 N. Alavon Blvd).
