Christian Horner, the principal of Red Bull, believes that many current F1 team managers have a short-term perspective compared to their more iconic predecessors.
With five Constructors’ championships under his leadership, Horner has had a successful and influential career in the sport. He has competed against some of the most renowned bosses in Formula 1.
As the only remaining team principal from Red Bull’s inaugural year in 2005, Horner is interested in exploring the differences between the current generation of managers and figures like Bernie Ecclestone, Max Mosley, Jean Todt, Ron Dennis, and Flavio Briatore.
‘When I entered the sport, I had the privilege of observing legendary leaders up close,’ Horner told Planetf1.com. ‘Bernie Ecclestone and Max Mosley ran the business with tight control. But then we had Ron Dennis, Jean Todt, and Flavio Briatore. They were all big personalities and characters.’
