An Oregon neighborhood is experiencing strange occurrences.
Sony and Vacasa, a vacation rental company, have collaborated to offer an exclusive three-night stay in the Ghostbusters Firehouse to a brave group of friends.
Located in Portland, this building is a recreation of the iconic firehouse from the 1984 film “Ghostbusters,” providing the perfect backdrop for a ghost-catching venture.
The three-story firehouse is fully equipped with P.K.E. Meters, Ghost Traps, Proton Packs, an Aura Video-Analyzer, and an Ecto-Containment Unit. The Ghostbusters’ vehicle, Ecto-1, is also stationed in the firehouse bay.
Guests have the opportunity to wear Ghostbusters fight suits and enjoy creepy activities like snacking on Stay Puft Marshmallows. However, be cautious not to make eye contact with the cursed painting of “Vigo the Carpathian,” the main antagonist from the film “Ghostbusters II.”
“We’re committed to every detail, and the Ghostbusters Firehouse in Portland is no exception,” said Allison Lowrie, Chief Marketing Officer at Vacasa, in an interview with CNN.
Each room in the firehouse offers new discoveries, ranging from interactive Ghost Containment Units to symmetrical book stacking and an abundance of ghost-hunting equipment. This experience is designed to captivate both devoted Ghostbusters fans and travelers seeking an ’80s nostalgia.
The immersive stay will take place from October 28 to 31, the perfect time to awaken spirits.
