This, coupled with a lack of progress in the offense’s continuity work, contributed to Pickett and Johnson’s miscommunications during the game.
Canada’s firing also hints at the organization’s support for Pickett. With Canada gone, it gives the young quarterback an opportunity to shine. The offensive adjustments under the new coaches can improve Pickett’s performance, enhancing his play-action game and increasing passing targets. Hopefully, these adjustments will help Pickett refine his skills and grow as a key player for the Steelers.
