Biden’s Actions During Migrant Crisis Indicate a Lack of Support for NYC on Multiple Occasions

Mayor Eric Adams has made a total of 36 requests to President Joe Biden for assistance with the migrant crisis, as reported by The Post.

This figure is not one to be taken lightly.

However, 36 times the president has turned down the mayor’s pleas.

For New Yorkers, this is not just a dismissal from the president, but also a burden of $12 billion in taxes.

This is the estimated cost Adams believes the city will have to bear to accommodate migrants until fiscal 2025, without considering any potential increase in the influx.

When Mayor Abe Beame requested aid from President Gerald Ford during New York City’s near-bankruptcy in 1975, and was famously told “Ford to City: Drop Dead,” it may have been somewhat understandable as the two politicians belonged to different parties.

In the end, the federal government did provide some assistance.

Interestingly, Ford attributed his loss in the subsequent presidential election to his denial of aid to New York City.

Let’s face it: The migrant crisis is not solely the fault of New York City, nor is it Adams’ fault.

It was thrust upon Americans despite all warnings when Biden assumed office.
