Milan Kundera, the renowned Czech author known for his iconic novel “The Unbearable Lightness of Being,” has passed away at the age of 94. The spokesperson for the Czech library, which houses Kundera’s personal collection, confirmed his death to Reuters on Wednesday. His French publisher, Gallimard, also confirmed the news to the New York Times. Kundera, who gained fame for his criticism of the Communist Party in his writing, passed away in Paris after battling a long illness.
