Antoni Porowski and Kevin Harrington are officially ending their engagement, a representative for Porowski exclusively told PEOPLE. The decision came after thoughtful discussions during the wedding planning process. Despite their mutual respect, they realized they were heading in different directions. “They both remain focused on work and are leaning on their friends during this time,” the representative shared.
Porowski, known for his role in “Queer Eye,” and his partner got engaged in November 2022 after three years of dating. Their engagement announcement on Instagram was light-hearted, poking fun at the quality of their selfie. Harrington, a brand strategy director, also commemorated the news on his own Instagram with a playful caption.
According to Porowski, their relationship escalated quickly during the pandemic. What was supposed to be a short visit to Austin, Texas, turned into an extended stay, and they even fostered a dog together. Their love story was a whirlwind that brought them from separate apartments to living together with a furry companion.
In the midst of this change, Porowski is gearing up to host an upcoming National Geographic series, No Taste Like Home. The show, created by Gordon Ramsay’s studio, will take him and a celebrity guest to different locations around the world to explore culinary traditions and the cultural influence on food.
The couple’s split comes as Porowski prepares for the 8th season of “Queer Eye,” set to premiere on Jan. 24, 2024, on Netflix.
