2023 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings: Ja’Marr Chase and Tyreek Hill Take the Lead

In my rankings for the 2023 fantasy football season, Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals and Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins are at the top for wide receivers. Joining them in the top 5 are Justin Jefferson, Cooper Kupp, and A.J. Brown. Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams, CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Garrett Wilson round out the top 10.

Considering factors like talent, injury history, team success, and consistent production, it’s important to carefully strategize before your fantasy football draft. You should also take into account schedule strength and bye weeks.

Here are my top wide receiver targets categorized into five tiers: Hall of Fame, All-Pro, Pro Bowl, Just Napping, and Deep Sleepers.

In the Hall of Fame tier, Ja’Marr Chase takes the top spot due to his previous success, his partnership with quarterback Joe Burrow, and his stage of career. Chase has been a consistent target for Burrow, and I expect him to have another outstanding season with over 100 catches, 1,600 yards, and at least 10 touchdowns.

Tyreek Hill is another strong option and could easily be considered the top pick. Despite not playing at the same time as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for some games, Hill had a career-high 1,710 receiving yards and 119 catches last season. With Tagovailoa entering his second season in coach Mike McDaniel’s offense, I expect Hill to have another exceptional year with over 100 catches, 1,600 yards, and close to 10 touchdowns.

In the All-Pro tier, A.J. Brown and Stefon Diggs stand out. Brown had career highs in catches (88), yards (1,496), and touchdowns (11) last season. Entering his second season with quarterback Jalen Hurts, Brown should be a key part of the Eagles’ offense and see around 150 targets. Diggs has been one of the most consistent playmakers in the NFL, surpassing 100 catches and 1,200 yards in each of the last three seasons. With quarterback Josh Allen, Diggs is expected to have another prolific season with over 150 targets, 100 catches, and 1,400 yards.

Davante Adams and CeeDee Lamb are in the Pro Bowl tier. Adams remains a WR1 despite inconsistent quarterback play and has scored a league-high 14 touchdowns last season. He should have another season with over 100 catches and double-digit touchdowns. Lamb, on the other hand, should thrive in the Dallas Cowboys’ offense and is set for a breakout year with at least 95 catches, 1,400 yards, and eight touchdowns. Tyson Campbell is quickly emerging as an excellent pass-catcher in the NCAA Set to enter his rookie season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Campbell is a player to watch for those looking for a deep sleeper.

In the Just Napping tier, DeVonta Smith, Tee Higgins, and Jaylen Waddle are among the top options. These receivers are considered the best No. 2 wide receivers in the NFL and should have significant roles in their respective offenses. Waddle, in particular, had an impressive 18.1 yards per catch last season and should benefit from defenses focusing on Tyreek Hill.

George Pickens and Adam Thielen are the standouts in the Deep Sleepers tier. Although they may not provide WR1 production consistently, they can be valuable assets in the right matchups. Pickens, in his second year, is expected to have improved quarterback play and log his first 1,000-yard season with at least eight touchdowns.

These rankings provide a comprehensive list of the top 100 fantasy football wide receivers for the 2023 season. Consider these rankings and your own research to build a winning fantasy football roster.
