2023 Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings: Ja’Marr Chase and Tyreek Hill Reign Supreme

Cincinnati Bengals standout Ja’Marr Chase has secured the top spot on my fantasy football wide receiver rankings for the 2023 season. Alongside him is Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill, who has also claimed a top spot. Rounding out the top five are Justin Jefferson, Cooper Kupp, and A.J. Brown. Players such as Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams, CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Garrett Wilson have also made it into the top 10 of my rankings.

The 2023 NFL regular season will kick off on September 7th, with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Detroit Lions in Kansas City, MO. As the season opener draws near, millions of people across the country will be participating in fantasy football drafts, carefully selecting their virtual rosters of running backs, quarterbacks, wide receivers, tight ends, kickers, and defenses. Preparing a pre-draft strategy is crucial for success and should consider factors such as talent, injury history, team success, and consistent production. It’s also important to take into account schedule strength, bye weeks, and other relevant factors.

To simplify the selection process, I have divided my top wide receiver targets into five tiers: Hall of Fame, All-Pro, Pro Bowl, Just Napping (early to mid-round targets), and Deep Sleepers (mid- to late-round sleepers). Each tier showcases players with differing levels of potential and reliability.

Ja’Marr Chase is my top wide receiver for the 2023 season due to his proven track record of success, his connection with quarterback Joe Burrow, and the stage of his career. As long as Burrow plays at least 16 games, I expect him to lead the NFL in touchdown passes. Chase, as his primary target, has received a remarkable 262 looks over his first two seasons. Despite missing five games last season, he still achieved a career-high of 134 targets and scored nine times in just 12 games. I predict that Chase will capture at least 100 catches this season, leading to over 1,600 yards and a minimum of 10 touchdowns.

Tyreek Hill, although not my top pick, is still a strong consideration for a first-round selection. He had a phenomenal season last year, accumulating a career-high 1,710 receiving yards and 119 catches, even without playing alongside quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for several games. With Tagovailoa entering his second season in coach Mike McDaniel’s offense and showing signs of improvement, I anticipate Hill recording at least 100 catches for 1,600 yards this season, along with close to 10 touchdowns.

A.J. Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles is another player I highly recommend targeting. He achieved career-high numbers in catches (88) and yards (1,496) last season, while also scoring 11 touchdowns. Brown is entering his second season with quarterback Jalen Hurts and is poised to be part of one of the league’s top offenses. His favorable schedule, based on the fantasy production allowed by Eagles opponents in 2022, further adds to his appeal. Brown’s consistency makes him a safe and reliable choice for a late first-round or early second-round pick.

Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills is known for his reliability and consistency as a playmaker. For the past three seasons, he has achieved over 100 catches and 1,200 yards. He has also scored 29 touchdowns during that span. Diggs and quarterback Josh Allen are expected to continue their success in the 2023 season, with Diggs likely to receive over 150 targets, 100 catches, and 1,400 yards.

Other noteworthy players in my rankings include Davante Adams, CeeDee Lamb, and Garrett Wilson, among others. Each tier in my rankings represents an opportunity for fantasy football players to make informed decisions based on the players’ potential and reliability.

In conclusion, my top 100 wide receiver rankings for the 2023 fantasy football season provide a comprehensive guide for selecting the best players for your virtual roster. Considering factors such as talent, team success, injury history, and consistent production will greatly contribute to a successful fantasy football season. So, gear up and start drafting your dream team for the upcoming season!
