In Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific flight CX880 aborted takeoff at the international airport after a technical issue, resulting in eleven injuries. The flight was heading from Hong Kong to Los Angeles and had 17 crew members and 293 passengers. The crew detected a technical issue and followed standard procedures by aborting takeoff. The injuries occurred during a precautionary evacuation using the emergency slides at the gate. Two passengers remain hospitalized, while the rest have been discharged. Cathay Pacific has apologized for the inconvenience caused.

According to local police, the incident was caused by an overheated tire that burst. Cathay Pacific has confirmed this report.
