Zara Introduces ‘Heavily Harry Coded’ Clothing Line by Stylist of Harry Styles

Harry Lambert, the stylist who dressed Harry Styles in eye-catching neon suits and delicate pearl necklaces, is now making his unique aesthetic accessible to the public with the launch of a 60-piece collection for Zara. This collection features retro-inspired silhouettes and whimsical cartoon prints, including a large bunny donning a green hat.

“People like Prince and Mick Jagger have embraced this look before,” says the 36-year-old Norwich native. “It’s not entirely new, but we are in a different era now.”

Lambert, whose clients also include actors Emma Corrin and Eddie Redmayne, describes the collection as “a little bit selfish”. Items such as an espresso-colored two-piece suit, minty green cropped trousers, and a sharp chocolate-brown suede jacket are inspired by items he has long sought but struggled to find until now.

Ahead of the collection’s launch on Monday, fans of Styles are creating wishlists that include £25.99 diamante chokers and a £59.99 rainbow-striped jumper with matching scarf. Some of the collection’s imagery was shot on transgender models, and the pieces will be available in both the menswear and womenswear sections, marking a first for Zara.

For Lambert, the decision to collaborate with a fast fashion brand like Zara comes as a surprise, given his penchant for vintage fashion. He has previously participated in secondhand clothes swaps and sold items from his own wardrobe on Depop to raise money for charity.

Lambert acknowledges the environmental impact of creating new clothes but insists that sustainability was a top consideration in his collaboration with Zara. The collection, which only features recycled materials like wool and polyester, is cited as the most sustainable offering from Zara’s parent company, Inditex.

The designer also prioritized longevity in the collection, a concept not commonly associated with fast fashion. He eschews the idea of trends and strives to create pieces that people will keep for a long time. Drawing inspiration from luxury brands, Lambert paid close attention to details that signify quality in his designs.

Zara’s collaboration with Lambert reflects a growing mainstream interest in the bold and unique look he curated for Styles, which has become synonymous with challenging traditional notions of masculinity. This aesthetic has already made an impact on the red carpet and is now making its way to the high street. Lambert welcomes the idea of people finding inspiration in his work and sees it as the highest form of flattery when someone emulates a Harry Styles-inspired look.
