- The Crystal Palace legend’s contract with the club expired earlier this month.

Galatasaray has confirmed the signing of Wilfried Zaha on a free transfer.
After his Crystal Palace contract expired earlier this summer, the 30-year-old winger became a free agent and has now joined the Turkish giants on a three-year deal.
Reports of Galatasaray’s interest in the Ivory Coast international were first published by Mail Sport on Saturday, and the club officially announced the negotiations a day later.
The move was revealed through a video on Twitter featuring Sky Sports’ Jo Wilson and Zaha, who commented on the number of trophies in the club’s trophy room.
Zaha had attracted interest and inquiries from clubs in Saudi Arabia, Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli, Lazio, and Galatasaray’s rivals Fenerbahce.

In a similar manner to their triumph over Fenerbahce in last season’s Turkish title race, Galatasaray has once again beat their rivals to secure Zaha’s signature.
By winning the title, Galatasaray has earned a spot in the Champions League qualifying round, which is a competition that Zaha is eager to participate in, making Galatasaray a more appealing choice.
In addition to the overseas interest, Zaha also received a contract renewal offer from Crystal Palace worth £200,000-per-week.
However, Zaha kept his options open by not signing the renewal and continued to train at his hometown club while recovering from a hamstring injury that prematurely ended his 22/23 season.
