Scottie Pippen has disclosed his close call with relocating to Australia following his visit to open the NBL season.
NBA and Chicago Bulls icon, Scottie Pippen, 58, was in advanced negotiations to become the coach of the Sydney Kings three years ago. The American developed a strong bond with former teammate and Kings owner, Luc Longley.
However, concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic made Pippen decline the opportunity. “We were very close but I wasn’t too comfortable with how things were going with Covid,” Pippen shared with Code Sports.
He added, “We’re very close and he’s one of the few teammates I still stay in touch with,” referring to Longley.
