With no winners since July, the Powerball jackpot continues to climb after surpassing $1 billion on Saturday.
The lottery jackpot is estimated to be worth $1.2 billion, with a cash value of $551.7 million. The next drawing will take place at 10:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, October 4. It currently holds the title of the fourth-largest prize in Powerball history.
The previous record-breaking Powerball jackpot was $1.08 billion, won by a ticket sold in Los Angeles on July 19, making it the fourth-largest prize in the history of the lottery.

When is the next Powerball drawing?
Powerball drawings are held three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET. The next drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, October 4.
What were the winning numbers in the last Powerball drawing?
The winning numbers from the drawing on Monday, October 2 were 12, 26, 27, 43, and 47. The red Powerball number was 5, and the Power Play multiplier was 2X.
Although there were no jackpot winners, there were winners who matched 5 numbers and the Power Play, winning $2 million in New York and South Carolina, and winners who matched 5 numbers, winning $1 million in Delaware and Michigan.
