Victimes du crash d’avion à French Valley, leur deuil est célébré – Orange County Register

During an early morning sermon at the Rolling Hills Covenant Church, a moment of silence was observed in honor of the six individuals who tragically lost their lives in a fiery plane crash near French Valley Airport. This somber news was delivered to the congregation by Clyde LaGue, the chairman of the Elder Board, who also shared a message from Rod Lenders, a fellow church elder who lost his son, Riese Lenders, in the crash.

LaGue conveyed the heartfelt words of the Lenders family: “Yesterday, the Lord took our beloved son Riese in a plane crash. We are grieving deeply, but our hope is in the Lord.”

According to records from the Federal Aviation Administration, Riese Lenders obtained his commercial pilot certificate in April. He was piloting the Cessna C550 business jet with co-pilot Manuel Vargas-Regalado at the time of the accident. Tragically, the crash also claimed the lives of Lindsey Gleiche, Lenders’ 31-year-old girlfriend, and Manuel Vargas-Regalado and his wife, Abigail Tellez-Vargas. The crash left behind a total of 11 children, ranging in age from newborn to 11 years old.

The owner of the plane, Michael Morris, shared that Vargas-Regalado had requested to use one of Morris’ planes to take a few people to Las Vegas. Morris, having known and trusted Vargas-Regalado for two years, granted the request without hesitation. The planes owned by Morris’ company, Prestige Worldwide Flights LLC, are based in Temecula.

In addition to Vargas-Regalado and Tellez-Vargas, the crash also claimed the lives of Alma Razick and Ibrahem Razick, leaving behind four children. Alma Razick was a 51-year-old Temecula resident, while Ibrahem Razick was a car dealership owner.

The cause and circumstances of the crash are currently under investigation by the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board. The incident occurred around 4:15 a.m. on Saturday, with the plane landing in a field approximately 500 feet short of the French Valley Airport runway. Mist and fog were reported at the airport at the time of the crash, with low visibility and clouds around 300 feet above the surface.
