Vice Ganda Sets the Record Straight: Awra Briguela is Still His Talent, Reiterating the Need for Guidance

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN reporter MJ Felipe for “TV Patrol,” Vice Ganda clarified that he is still managing Awra Briguela as his talent and will continue to support her, especially after the recent bar brawl incident in Makati. Addressing false claims made for clout chasing and clickbait purposes, Vice Ganda expressed his frustration at not being interviewed and questioned where these rumors about him leaving Awra came from. He emphasized that Awra cannot give interviews due to restrictions, and clarified that he will be by Awra’s side throughout this journey.

Vice Ganda admitted that he initially chose not to discuss the issue with Awra immediately after the incident because both of them were upset, and Awra was still dealing with the trauma. He gave Awra several days to rest and eventually had a conversation with her in the presence of her father. Vice Ganda advised Awra to reflect on the incident and learn from the lessons it taught her. When asked if Awra regrets her actions, Vice Ganda stated that he cannot speak on behalf of the young actress. However, he wants to make it clear that he and Awra are not parting ways, and he will stay with her, providing the guidance she needs.

Vice Ganda shared that Awra is doing fine and striving to improve every day. He acknowledged the challenges of being a talent manager but reiterated his commitment to never leave Awra’s side. In June, Awra was arrested by the Makati Police after getting into a fistfight with complainant Mark Christian Ravana outside a bar. Awra faced charges of physical injuries, alarm and scandal, disobedience to authority, and direct assault. After posting bail on July 1, Awra was released from detention. Subsequently, Ravana filed additional complaints against Awra, including light threats, grave coercion, and violation of the “Bawal Bastos” law.
