Vanessa Lachey opened up about her deep connection with her husband Nick Lachey, revealing the journey they’ve taken to become an invincible couple. Speaking on the reality show they both host, “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On,” Vanessa shared, “Nick and I have been together for 16 years, and we truly understand each other.” She added, “We’ve been married for 11 years, but it’s interesting how we continue to discover new things about each other, often in therapy sessions.”
With tears in her eyes, Vanessa confessed to the contestants, “I don’t want to delve into the details, but it can strain your relationship.” She continued, “I get emotional because I’ve overcome so many challenges to become the best partner for him. Every issue we faced, every concern I brought up… finding someone I can trust to support me has made us unstoppable.”
Vanessa expressed freedom in being able to share everything with her partner and still feel his unwavering support. She described it as a beautiful experience, emphasizing that if a partner can’t provide that, they’re not the person she married.
Throughout their relationship, both Nick and Vanessa have been openly honest about the highs and lows they’ve encountered. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Vanessa shared that they went through significant ups and downs. The lockdowns forced them to communicate better and reprioritize their lives.
Vanessa concluded by saying, “We’ve been together for 14 years, married for nine, and our family always comes first. Our needs change over time, and it’s essential to acknowledge that.” Nick and Vanessa, who started dating in 2006 and tied the knot in 2011, have three children together: Camden, Brooklyn, and Phoenix. Prior to marrying Vanessa, Nick was married to Jessica Simpson from 2002 to 2006.
