An individual from Utah, Craig Deleeuw Robertson, was shot and killed by the FBI during an attempted arrest. Robertson had allegedly threatened to murder President Joe Biden and the New York district attorney handling the case against former President Donald Trump’s hush money payments.

Court documents describe Robertson as a white man in his seventies who was seen wearing a dark suit with an AR-15 style rifle lapel pin, a white shirt, a red tie, and a multi-colored hat with the word “TRUMP” on it. He was also found to be in possession of a sniper rifle and multiple other firearms.

The fatal shooting occurred in Provo, Utah, at 6:15 a.m. local time, just hours before President Biden was scheduled to visit Salt Lake City. Fortunately, no FBI agents were injured during the incident.

The FBI’s Inspection Division is currently reviewing the shooting.

President Biden was briefed on the FBI raid earlier today by a senior administration official. The US Secret Service, responsible for the President’s protection, confirmed their awareness of the investigation and referred all related inquiries to the FBI.

Robertson, in addition to making threats against President Biden, also made a social media post in March threatening to shoot New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg Jr. during a visit to the city.

A felony complaint was filed against Robertson, charging him with multiple offenses, including making threats against the president and interstate threats. This development follows Bragg’s previous charges against Trump for falsifying business records related to a payment to Stormy Daniels.

Trump has denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty. His trial is set to take place next year.
