Usher Earned the Distinct Title ‘Domestic Terrorist’ Following Keke Palmer Video

  • According to People, Usher’s fans have affectionately dubbed him the “Domestic Terrorist” following the incident involving Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson.
  • During an Usher show in Las Vegas, Palmer’s boyfriend, Jackson, publicly criticized her on Twitter for wearing a sheer black dress.
  • However, Usher clarifies that the incident was simply a playful moment they shared with the audience.

Usher reveals that his fans have playfully dubbed him the “Domestic Terrorist” due to the viral video of his serenade to Keke Palmer at a concert, which caused her boyfriend, Darius Daulton Jackson, to become upset.

“The internet is a wild place. You can’t outsmart it,” the singer shared with People.

“I believe everyone’s interpretation or version of what occurred leads back to simply having a great time in Las Vegas,” Usher stated. “That’s what I hope people took away from it. Whether it sparked a discussion about our onstage fun or just the song itself.”

In July, a video of Usher serenading Palmer at one of his Las Vegas shows gained attention due to Jackson’s reaction.

Jackson publicly criticized Palmer on Twitter, which is now rebranded as X, by posting “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” in a now-deleted tweet.

Currently, it is unknown if the couple is still together, despite welcoming a son together in February.

During his concerts, Usher often has a segment where he sings to a lucky fan. He referred to the situation with Keke Palmer as “a memorable moment,” as reported by People.

“Every night, I contemplate how the world will perceive the special moment I share with the chosen person,” Usher explained. “But it was an exciting moment, and it’s interesting to see it generate conversations. However, I don’t see any negative implications in Las Vegas.”
