and the union have successfully negotiated a mutually advantageous agreement, deftly sidestepping the previously imminent strike.

UPS CEO Carol Tome expresses her satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “Together, we have forged a remarkable agreement that addresses the concerns of the Teamsters leadership, our employees, as well as our valued customers. This deal ensures that UPS’s dedicated full- and part-time workers continue to receive exceptional compensation and benefits, while also enabling us to maintain our competitive edge, serve our customers effectively, and fortify our position within the industry.”

Although the arrangement is tentative, it awaits the final ratification vote by the workers, who will make the ultimate decision.

Faced with the prospect of a massive strike if an agreement was not reached by July 31, the Teamsters, representing the employees, can now breathe a sigh of relief.

The deal offered by UPS encompasses wage increases for both full-time and part-time workers, demonstrating the company’s commitment to fair compensation.

Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien expresses his satisfaction with the outcome, stating proudly, “We entered this battle wholeheartedly determined to secure the best contract in UPS’s history, and we have undoubtedly accomplished that goal. Thanks to these negotiations, UPS has generously allocated $30 billion toward these efforts.”
