Unveiling the Xiaomi 14 Pro: Unleashing a Lightning-Fast Leica Camera and Limited Titanium Edition

It has only been a month since Xiaomi introduced the 13T series to the international market, and the company is already releasing more flagship phones in China. The newly announced Xiaomi 14 series is the first device to run the company’s new HyperOS, which aims to connect “human, cars, and home.” These phones also feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and include a faster Leica Summilux lens and a floating telephoto lens for both the 14 and 14 Pro. There is even a special titanium edition available for the Pro model.

The Xiaomi 14 features a 6.36-inch screen with a new C8 AMOLED display panel developed by Xiaomi and TCL CSOT. It offers a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and a pixel density of 460 ppi. The phone comes with a 4,610mAh battery that supports fast charging and wireless charging. It also includes a 4-mic array for noise cancellation and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Additionally, the phone is waterproof and dustproof with an IP68 rating.

Xiaomi 14 Pro, on the other hand, has a larger 6.73-inch screen and a bigger 4,880mAh battery with faster charging capabilities. The Pro model also has a USB 3.2 port with a 10Gbps data transfer speed. The phone features a 2K resolution display with a pixel density of 522ppi. It uses Xiaomi Ceramic Glass for enhanced durability. The titanium edition of the 14 Pro offers the same top specs but is slightly heavier.

Both models have similar camera setups, including a main Summilux lens with a high dynamic range. The Xiaomi 14 Pro offers a variable aperture for more versatility. Both models feature a floating telephoto lens and an ultra-wide camera. The phones are currently available for pre-order in China, with prices starting from 3,999 yuan for the Xiaomi 14 and 4,999 yuan for the Xiaomi 14 Pro. International availability has not been announced yet.
