Unveiling the Intriguing Mystery Thriller ‘Linlang’: An Eye-Opening Exploration of Annulment and Divorce for Engaged Viewers

During an exclusive interview with Inquirer Entertainment, actors Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, and JM De Guzman discussed their latest project, “Linlang,” and the controversial issue of the divorce bill in the Philippines. Kim emphasized the need for Filipinos to embrace modern times, despite strong Catholic values and conservative traditions. She highlighted the importance of the series in showcasing the complexities of marriage and the choices individuals can make within a relationship.

Paulo expressed his agreement with Kim’s sentiments, stating that society should adapt to modern times and evolve without forgetting their culture and identity as Filipinos. JM added that individuals should also consider the impact of their actions on others, especially when there are children involved.

Kim shared that her role as Juliana in “Linlang” is one of the most challenging she has played in her 17 years as an actress. Despite knowing that the project involved bed scenes, she agreed to do it to show her audience a different side of her and separate her real life from her showbiz persona.

Paulo, who is selective with projects, found artistic freedom in “Linlang” and added small elements to his character to make it feel fresh. He also mentioned that the series goes beyond being a simple “kabit” story, and important details are gradually revealed throughout the episodes.

Directed by FM Reyes and Jojo Saguin, “Linlang” began streaming on Prime Video in the Philippines and globally on October 5.
