In Los Angeles County, the price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline has been steadily increasing. On Thursday, it rose for the 22nd time in 24 days, with an increase of 12.3 cents, bringing the average price to $6.285.
Over the past 24 days, the average price has risen by 88.8 cents, including a 2.3 cent increase on Wednesday. It saw a 16-day consecutive rise, followed by a small drop of nine-tenths of a cent on Thursday and a 2.3 cent drop on Friday, but then continued to increase on Saturday.
Compared to a week ago, the average price is now 22.5 cents higher. It is also 91.9 cents higher than one month ago and 17.7 cents higher than the price one year ago. However, it has dropped by 20.9 cents since reaching a record high of $6.494 on October 5th.
In Orange County, the average price of gasoline has also been on the rise. On the 25th day of the past 27 days, it increased by 13.7 cents, reaching an average price of $6.269.
Over the past 27 days, the average price has increased by 95.3 cents, including a 2.1 cent increase on Wednesday. It saw a 19-day consecutive rise, followed by a drop of 3.3 cents on Thursday and a further drop of 2.5 cents on Friday. However, it continued to increase again on Saturday. Compared to a week ago, the average price is now 25.7 cents higher. It is also 95.8 cents higher than one month ago and 17.7 cents higher than the price one year ago.
Since its record high of $6.459 on October 5th, the average price in Orange County has dropped by 19 cents.
Nationally, the average price of gasoline experienced a slight increase of three-tenths of a cent, reaching $3.835. This comes after a decrease of six-tenths of a cent the previous day.
Compared to a week ago, the national average price is now 3.2 cents lower. However, it is 1.6 cents higher than one month ago and 7 cents higher than the price one year ago.
Since its record high of $5.016 on June 14, 2022, the national average price has dropped by $1.181.
