Sept. 27 (UPI) — HBO announces premiere date for True Detective: Night Country. The highly-anticipated fourth season of the captivating drama is set to debut on January 14.
Prepare to be enthralled as Jodie Foster takes the lead as Det. Liz Danvers. Together with Det. Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis), they embark on a relentless investigation into the mysterious disappearance of eight men from an Alaskan research station.
Just as the men vanish, the city of Ennis, Alaska plunges into extended nightfall, creating an eerie atmosphere. Alongside Foster, the talented ensemble cast includes Finn Bennett, Fiona Shaw, Christopher Eccleston, Isabella Star LaBlanc, and John Hawkes.
HBO initially announced the renewal of the series for its fourth season in early 2022. The production commenced in Iceland that November, ensuring a visually stunning backdrop for the enthralling narrative.
Similar to previous seasons, True Detective: Night Country showcases a fresh set of detectives in a distinct setting. The critically acclaimed first season featured Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey in Louisiana, while the second season introduced Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, and Taylor Kitsch in California.
