Next week, free workshops will be held in anticipation of the 28th Valley-Wide Employment Expo. These workshops aim to assist job seekers in preparing for the upcoming fair.
Riverside County officials have announced that there will be four sessions. Two sessions will be conducted in English and two sessions will be conducted in Spanish. These sessions are scheduled for September 12 and will take place both online and in person at the Indio Workforce Development Center located at 44199 Monroe St.
The English sessions will be held at 10 a.m. and 2:15 p.m., while the Spanish sessions are set for 11:15 a.m. and 1 p.m.
During the workshops, attendees will learn about resume writing and editing, successful interviewing techniques, and professional attire. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to receive incentives such as clothing vouchers and gift cards.
The workshops are being hosted through a collaboration between the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services and the non-profit organization, Desert’s Best Friends Closet.
The job fair itself will take place on September 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fantasy Springs Casino located at 84245 Indio Springs Parkway. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their current resume and register in advance. However, walk-ins will also be welcome.
